How did you find out about posh paperie?
Well I really believe the universe brought us together… but technically I met with a local florist recommended to me by a friend (Adorations) and at the end of our meeting Lavonne asked me if I had picked stationary people yet. Although I had been in contact with a few, I was still shopping around, so she quickly handed me Karrie’s card, saying that I MUST call her… so I did. Lavonne had worked with Karrie previously on her branding and showed me what a stunning job she had done on her business cards. Karrie called me back immediately, and then put me in contact with Elizabeth to get a meeting on the calendar. Once we sat down together, we clicked instantly (no contest!), and my stationary journey began.
What events have we been able to help create special paper goods for you/your family/friends?
What HAVENT they done for me? First and foremost was the wedding….thermographed Save the Dates, Main Invites, Thank you notes, escort cards, place cards, programs, welcome bag goodies including a hand-drawn map, etc etc…the whole shebang! Basically anything paper you could have for a wedding, we did it. Then the addiction to beautiful stationary continued with 2 years of Christmas cards for my husband and I, my first anniversary gift of “paper” notepads from Eric, invitations to a nautical baby shower, a love themed bridal shower invite, a beachy bachelorette invitation and tshirt, and most recently a vintage moving announcement postcard.
How many years have we known each other now?!
We met in 2009 while Eric and I were engaged, so that’s only 3 years, although it feels like I’ve know Karrie and Elizabeth forever.
Tell us a little bit about your family( you and eric)… + yourself!
I am a 2nd grade teacher in South County San Diego, while my husband Eric works in sales. We’ve been married 2 ½ years and just bought our first home together in Scripps Ranch. After enduring a stressful, and unexpectedly long remodel, we finally moved in! Although, the posh paperie is rooting for a real human baby (can you say birth announcement?) Eric and I are planning to welcome home our first baby puppy very soon.
Why do you love working with (and being Bff’s with Posh paperie) ? ha
Can I just say because they are AMAZING!? From the stunning paper products they create to their warm and friendly personalities, I love every minute I spend working with the Posh Paperie. My husband now refers to Karrie and Elizabeth simply as “the girls,” because we’ve grown so close and when we’re together we just gab on and on like bffs. I really feel like I am not just a client, but also a dear friend. I know I can be brutally honest if I change my mind on something. I can spew out a slur of ideas and questions in an email at 10pm, knowing that the next morning (or that night!) I’ll have a reply waiting for me in my inbox knowing exactly what I meant. The posh paperie knows me better than I know myself sometimes, and we’ve built a great relationship that will endure a lifetime… of stationary!
What papergoods are your favorite that we have done for you..
Oh man, how can I decide??? Wow… How about Top 3? :
• My notepads. I think these are so special because Eric had them made for me as a surprise, which alone is just so cute. “The girls” collaborated with him to produce something that is so “me.” Plus, they sit on my desk (at home and at school) where I see and use them every day, which always makes me smile.
• My wedding place cards and table numbers- something about the hand calligraphy, silky ribbon, and hand cut lace is just so beautiful. We saved them all, and I feel like someday I’ll just have to bust them out for a party… with numbered tables!!! Lol
• Samantha’s bachelorette invitations- these were just too cute for words, so bright and fun and they totally set the tone for the weekend.
Ok maybe top 4…
• The wedding save the date- it was the beginning of our creative journey together! After examining silk flowers from new york, and lots of different ribbons and laces, we came up with the perfect save the date, which completely defined my entire wedding theme. Such classy elegance- I’m obsessed with these for what they are and what they represent.

our thoughts on the fabulous em:
where do we even begin to talk about this amazing girl?! emily caballero (then, adamick) walked in to our studio, with her incredible mom (bonnie) 3 years ago and has since become one of our all time favorite clients and now, friends. her wedding was our favorite to date - set at the hotel del coronado - with the most gorgeous stationery suite (think ribbon and lace) we have ever designed. because emily was so invested in each step of the stationery process, we met with her more times than any other client… and really got to know her - and love her. since her wedding, we have collaborated on several projects together - bridal showers, baby showers, christmas cards, moving announcements. we have loved every opportunity to work with her - and even more so, have appreciated the wonderful friendship we have built. we love you em (and her awesome husband, eric… and sweet mom, bonnie) and look forward to many more celebrations together in the years to come! xo, e and k
