so excited…we are featured *again* on another amazing blog, The Bride’s Cafe!
check out our feature on this blog! we are excited!
thanks to abby of “style me pretty” for featuring posh paperie on her site!
this is an amazing site and resource for all brides (and those of us in the industry!)…so it is an honor to be featured.
thanks again, abby!
this was a really fun event for me to do…because it involves *my* nephew. =) i loved putting together all of the fun paper goods for my sister’s shower! her nursery theme is “baby elephants” - so the shower reflected that, with a “picnic” theme incorporated as well. we did blue, white & yellow for the colors, and i made tags for the picnic baskets, tags for the caramel apple favors, the invitations (of course!) and hand-done, personalized letters for the nursery. here are the pictures!
the “nicholas” tags - complete with little rhinestone “i”. i alternated the colors…blue background for the yellow baskets, and yellow background for the blue baskets.
the cute “elephant” favor tags that we tied on to the caramel apples. again, i alternated colors to match!
nicholas’ letters (for his bedroom…to be placed on a shelf). again, i am *not* a photographer (sorry!)…but you can get the idea. here are a few of the letters up close…
the cute invitation - we did a blue paisley pocket, with the “n” on the front for “nicholas”. the inner card reflected the picnic theme with whimsical fonts & the adorable elephant (complete with rhinestone eye), and the blue and white gingham ribbon. perfection!
courtney and kevin got married today…congratulations! what an adorable couple. i had the pleasure of doing their suite pieces…a custom guestbook (complete with customized “p” tags - for the guests to write on) with the cutest pictures of the couple on each page, programs and table numbers. here are their pieces…and congratulations to mr. and mrs. pendleton!
here is the entire suite (programs, table numbers and guestbook)
the guestbook…page one (first page of their program, and engagement picture)
one of the inside pages, with “tags” placed
their cute “p” symbol on the tags
simple but beautiful program
i loved their table numbers - their “p” symbol stacked on top of the table number. and i *loved* their colors. black, leaf green and a shimmery, textured white. gorgeous combination!
these 2 girls are some of my most favorite clients to date! sue is *such* a doll…so cute and sweet, she just has a great personality. we finished her save the dates last january…and we are getting ready to design the rest of her stationery suite, for her upcoming (november) wedding. more fun pictures to come!
i love how her date “peeks” out of the top of the pocket… and we used lots of crystals…sue is such a cute “girly girl”! on the front of her pocket, we did a cute little seal, with a poem…welcoming the new year & asking guests to save the date for their wedding!
sue and randell are so cute! on the back side of their picture card, we put all the necessary information (accomodations, website, etc.). i just love how their save the date turned out!
this save the date is another one of my favorites. michele is *so* fun (so is her mom!)…and i love michele and tim’s “spunk” in their announcement. they actually posed with a live LION…and used cute wording to play on the picture (”we’re not LION…we’re getting married!”). we chose an “animal” looking print to mount the picture on…and the result was perfection! we printed their information (date, accommodations, website information) on the back side of the card as well. too cute! i am currently assembling michele’s beautiful wedding invitations…check back for pictures!
i had the privilege of doing an adorable baby shower this weekend! we used a blue and yellow themed invite with a cute silhouette of a pregnant girl. for the favors (caramel & white chocolate dipped oreos from “rocky mountain chocolate factory…yum!) we did blue and yellow “tags” with the baby’s name (”trevor”). i also designed little tags that spelled out “b a b y t r e v o r” for a game that was played. everything turned out *so* cute. i had to include a picture of the cake (by melody brandon of “sweet & saucy”)…because she matched the invitation *exactly*…down to the identical shades of blue and yellow! everything was a huge success…
tom and becky got married in february…on the most gorgeous day of the month! their ceremony took place at the torrey pines christian church, with the reception at the amazing four seasons aviara. i had the pleasure of doing their “suite” pieces. her colors were beautiful…apple green and pink. the placecards were hand calligraphied (by the incredible wendy ware…i use her frequently! she is the BEST) in pink and charcoal grey ink. the table numbers were whimsical with a hand drawn cake (pink printing) and fluffy organza green bow. the programs were one of my most *favorite* pieces i’ve ever done! the adorably whimsical church (hand drawn) on the front (pink printing) was a perfect touch to the darling piece…complete with 2 tissues in the back pocket for happy tears! congratulations, tom and becky!

first of all, let me just say that i am an invitation designer…NOT a photographer! =) so, these are not the best pictures. the majority of my blogged photos will be done by the amazing jo anne allen photography…so better pictures to come, i promise! at any rate…my own little daughter, felicity is turning 4 years old in a few weeks. for her upcoming birthday party, she chose a “cinderella” theme…but is also having a swim party. so, to get those 2 themes to “mesh” was challenging. i used a polka dot vellum to print the “royal” announcement (complete with “royal” language, and crown with “jewels”). i then rolled it up and tied it with princess pink ribbon, and put it in a mailing tube (that i covered with a “flourished” paper). they turned out adorably…not too difficult…and surprisingly not too expensive to mail! the entire tube was only $1.15 each.
check out my sister in law’s website…karriepykedesigns.blogspot.com. her work is amazing…and she is my main partner in the business these days. i’m so thankful for her amazing talent! more to come from karrie pyke…a picture of her amazing wedding invitations & a few other pieces that i designed (shower invitations, rehearsal dinner, etc.)…as well as a few new invitations that she helped to create!
