Antonio Gates is a San Diego Charger, so we were so excited to have the opportunity to work with such an exceptional professional football player! Sasha was just about the sweetest bride … She also had fabulous taste!! We loved her color palette! Dark browns and rich creams.. offset with a touch of blush.. it was just perfect! Melody of Sweet and Saucy just had the sweetest baby girl.. BLAKE!! I am one of Mel’s biggest cheerleaders.. since we have been besties for a long time.. I even got to have her in my wedding and got to be in hers! so as you can tell.. from the minute i got the phone call that she was pregnant.. I have been a tad ecstatic!!

here is the shower we threw her.. to celebrate this little one’s life! Jesi Haack and Carissa of JL designs were part of the team.. we could not have done it without them!!

Carissa, from JL Designs, not only hosted the shower at her fabulous house, but she also did all the beautiful floral decor and design…how cute are those vases!

Jesi Haack designed the entire headband making station…what an amazing idea is that and also created the ruffle backdrops for the dessert bar and drink station!

Carlie, from Gabriel Ryan Photography,  took all of these photos…I can’t thank her enough for making this pregnant mommy so happy!

We are so THRILLED that it was posted on Hostess with the Mostess..on her blog…you can check out her amazing post here!

The minute we met with Jackie and Enrique, it was magic. We instantly loved their style, ideas for their wedding and stationery…and basically everything about them. They loved our “vintage postcard” save the date - but didn’t want to use a photo of them for the front. We came up with the idea of using a vintage photo of the location of the wedding (Coral Gables, Florida) - printing it like our vintage postcards… and then putting it in a shimmery textured orange envelope. We also incorporated some darling floral designs - just a few “peeks”…which indicates more to come (for the main invitation!). Sweet scrolls and a little bird also added to the incredible details of this design. Jackie is adding some adorable bird shaped confetti - and we can’t get over the darling text she came up with for the back of the postcard!

Jackie & Enrique - every moment of working with you has been our pleasure. We can’t wait to move on to the main invitation design! :)

It might be YOUR LUCKY DAY!!! we had the honor to create a banner for the latest issue of Exquisite Weddings Magazine… and we are so happy with how it turned out! They wanted a sea theme to their shoot.. so we decided on a banner that read… SEA OF LOVE. In light blues and red ribbons and lettering….it gave the perfect touch the sea affair!

ROAR…BRADEN IS SIX!

We have done multiple invitations and announcements for this sweet family. Every opportunity we have to work with them is wonderful & we have loved being a part of the special milestones in their lives!

Erika (mommy to Braden) contacted us with a rush order for her sweet son’s birthday. The theme was “lion” & she wanted a color palette that involved blue and orange. We chose a deep indigo blue
and several shades of orange to compliment the blue and make the design pop! A combination of fonts and a fun diagonal stripe design made the suite complete.

We had so much fun designing each piece for this party!
Main invitations - complete with cute address wraps on an indigo envelope and striped liners!

“Postcard” fill in the blank style Thank You notes (genius for kids - just have to fill in the blanks & sign their name)

Can’t wait for the next collaboration with the McKinney family!

There are not enough words to describe the sweet spirit of this precious client. We had the pleasure of designing her wedding stationery 2 years ago (and worked closely with her for one year - from start to finish!). Through that process, we became great friends & Karrie and I both feel blessed to know Vaneesha. She contacted us again this last year when she found out she was pregnant…with a precious baby girl! We designed all of her shower pieces - using shimmery blush pinks with a pop of magenta. Calling the event a “fanciful fete” - we also incorporated ruffled crepe paper and lace on the main invitations and on several of the other stationery pieces for the shower day. More of this post after these pictures.. so keep reading!

The main invitations also had custom envelope liners - repeating the words “frilly and fanciful fete” on a diagonal in shades of pink. The lace and ruffled crepe paper (2 different shades of pink) added texture and embellishment to the delicate paper goods.

We designed main invitations, favor tags, thank you notes, menus, food signage tent folds and “fanciful wishes for baby” sheets. Since Vaneesha lives in chicago.. we had to have her send us these tiny pics from her actual shower!

THEN…sweet baby Isla Grace was born (early!) and we were so honored to design her birth announcements! Vaneesha designed her nursery in soft shades of grey and different pinks (with a pop of magenta). We mirrored the nursery colors in the design - and came up with a mix of modern (in the fun, yet clean, pattern) and feminine (in the colors and fonts). We also used a silk dupioni ribbon - and just had to tie a sweet tiny bow, for this tiny sweet princess! Final touch: patterned envelope liner in a light grey envelope.

We LOVE Vaneesha…and now we love her sweet tiny daughter, Isla Grace just as much. ( as you can see we had to include pictures of lil isla throughout this post!) Thank you, Vaneesha, for giving us the amazing opportunity of being a part of these incredible moments in your life! Can’t wait for many more designs in the future… :) xoxo

Sweet little Franklin, (Karrie’s precious son) celebrated his first birthday in January 2012. Karrie, being the amazing designer she is, wanted to come up with a fun party concept - that was somewhat “different” and also not the typical “kid” color palette. So, she decided on an “aviation” theme, and picked a fun palette of cream, red, navy blue and army green.

The original plan was to have the party at the Aviation Museum in San Diego (Miramar area) - where the entire yard of the museum is filled with old airplanes & a grassy lawn with tables. It would have been the perfect location for the party, and that is how we planned the decor. Unfortunately, on the day of the party, it RAINED! So, we had to come up with plan B. Having the party at home wasn’t Karrie’s first choice, but she did an amazing job of pulling everything together!

We designed all of the fun paper products (of course) - starting with his invitation (complete with custom airplane confetti!). We made banners (hanging photos of his first year - each month - on red fringe) to hang from the windows, fun labels for all of the food, and even airplane “confetti” banners - strung together and tied with baker’s twine bows. Karrie also painted the airplanes that are framed on the food table! It was a fun little project!!

The food was a serve-yourself brunch style meal: breakfast burritos (with all the fixings!), fruit cups, breakfast breads, applesauce and a drink bar (coffee, juices & soda). Everything was labeled in the aviation theme (even the silverware!). The dessert bar was courtesy of sweet and saucy - 2 different cakes (plus one tiny “smash” cake for Frankie), as well as custom cut & patterned sugar cookies. Frankie obviously isn’t that into cake!! Haha that face is classic.. too bad he doesn’t know what good cake he had!! The favors were plastic blown up airplanes - each labeled with the child’s name…and everyone wore a cute “sticker badge” that said “First Class Frankie”. Every beautiful photo was taken by the talented Mrs. Jackie wonders!!

My absolute Favorite is the east coast feel to all the tiny buildings!! It makes me want to go back east!! I can’t wait to see what they use it for.. and more than anything.. i can’t wait to hit up their storefront one day!

It was such a pleasure to help with this lil’ project!

Sweet Ashley Rose (of Ashley Rose Photography) contacted us and asked us if our 3 kids would be the “models” to promote her Valentine themed mini shoots. Of course we *jumped* at the chance. Ashley is so amazing…we were thrilled to have these adorable photos of our little ones.
All credit for styling the photos goes to Ashley (of course). Once we received the proofs of the photos, Karrie came up with the idea of sending a little valentine from our families! So, in typical Karrie fashion, she whipped out the *cutest* valentines ever! For my girls, she used a whimsical font and lots of hearts (my favorite!) along with chevron stripes. We printed on an ivory shimmer and backed to red. She added a fun liner (with hearts, of course!) and an address wrap - to adhere to a rose colored envelope. For adorable little Frankie, we printed on ecru linen - and gave it a bit of a “distressed” look. Chevron stripes & an envelope liner with grey hearts completed the sweet look.
Happy Valentines Day from our sweet kids…Felicity (7.5), Hailey (almost 5) and Franklin (1).
